METHODOLOGY

Indyne understands that owners have made a considerable investment in their vehicle and need to be confident that the installation of their mobile internet system will be done properly. Our methodology reflects the professional manner in which we conduct our business. We will come to an agreement with you on what is to be done before beginning the work. The technicians performing the work are factory trained and certified to ensure a professional, quality result.

Initial Survey: We gather information about your vehicle, the installation location, your computer, your intended use of the system, and your travel plans. This allows us to prepare a preliminary installation plan, which includes the choice of satellite to be accessed by your system. We will recommend the service that you need to subscribe to and provide you with instructions on how to sign up.

Detailed Installation Plan: We work with you to determine exactly where the dish and electronics are to be located. The electronics location must have 120 VAC power available and provide adequate ventilation. One factor in the location is the path for the cabling between the electronics and the dish on the roof. Once we have agreed on these elements, the work can begin. Our goal is "no surprises".

Dish Installation: The dish is hoisted to the roof where it is installed in the agreed upon location. We use stainless steel fasteners appropriate to your roof type and seal each fastener with the factory recommended sealant to prevent any leaks. If the satellite TV option is being purchased, that equipment is also installed.

Cabling from Dish to Electronics: Three cables connect the electronics to the dish. One or two additional cables are required for the optional TV service. This cable bundle is run through a hole made through the roof of the vehicle into the interior and on to the electronics. A protective sheath is placed over the bundle and it is secured using clamps. Again, all openings and fasteners are sealed with the factory recommended sealant.

Electronics Installation: The electronics are placed in the agreed upon location, connected to power, and connected to the dish cables. Your computer is connected for system configuration and preparation for use.

System Configuration and Calibration: Using your computer, we will set up the electronics to communicate with one another and the dish. We configure the dish to automatically locate the appropriate satellite and calibrate the electronics for maximum performance.

Service Startup and Registration: Using the information provided by the service provider when you subscribed, we activate your service for Internet access and register your equipment with the service and MotoSAT.

Training: We provide you with written instructions on system operation, usage, troubleshooting, and obtaining help. We will go through these instructions with you until you are comfortable with the system. While normal operation is extremely easy, turn everything on and push one button, we know that owners are better able to deal with issues and resolve them themselves when they have a reasonable understanding of how things work. Indyne support is always available when owners need it.
